1. Information We Collect
When you use Wiki Battles, we may collect the following information:
- Account information: Email address, username, display name, and optional profile metadata.
- Gameplay and social data: Card collection, pack activity, battle history, ratings, friend activity, and in-app currency balances.
- Technical and analytics data: App events, screen views, touch interactions, app lifecycle events, device/app metadata, and diagnostic logs.
We do not collect precise location data.
2. Analytics and Diagnostics
We use PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics. Analytics and logs may be linked to account identifiers (such as user ID and email) and may include network/device metadata. Service providers may derive approximate location from network signals (for example, IP-based geolocation). We do not collect precise GPS location.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Wiki Battles service.
- Operate core gameplay systems, progression, rewards, and leaderboards.
- Protect accounts, detect abuse, and troubleshoot reliability and security issues.
- Communicate with you about your account or service updates.
We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-Party Services
Wiki Battles integrates with the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Authentication, database, and real-time infrastructure.
- PostHog: Product analytics and diagnostic logging.
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia APIs: Content, images, and licensing metadata used in card content workflows.
- Anthropic and OpenAI APIs: Used in admin-only tooling for card generation and moderation.
5. Cookies and Web Sessions
Our web/admin experience uses essential cookies for authenticated sessions (for example, Supabase auth cookies). We do not currently use these cookies for targeted advertising.
6. Data Storage, Transfers, and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL.
- Encryption of data at rest.
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure and code.
Your data may be processed and stored in the United States. By using Wiki Battles, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
- We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active.
- You can request account deletion through in-app settings or by contacting us.
- Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to limited legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup-retention obligations.
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Wiki Battles is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Disclosures
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data.
- Port your data to another service.
- Opt out of certain data processing activities.
California residents: We do not sell your personal information. You have the right to know what data we collect and to request its deletion.
We do not use personal data for targeted advertising.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
